A birth plan helps you clarify your wishes and expectations regarding the birth and to share them with your midwife, maternity care providers, and possibly hospital staff. Whether you want to give birth at home or in the hospital, a birth plan allows you to clearly express your preferences and helps you to stay in control of your birth experience.
